Sending event emails for online course pages

  • Updated

You can configure an email for each page of your online course, online conference or membership area and define when it will be sent.

The sending is event-based.

Available events

For each page there is the "Drip-In" (activation) of the page. Depending on the page, you can define when the email should be sent.

Completed page

For dynamic pages there is also the event "completed page." If the customer clicks on "Done" on the top right of the page, this event is triggered.

Time of sending

You can define the time for all events:

  • simultaneously with the start of the event
  • before the event begins
  • after the event has begun

In which languages can you send the emails?

At the moment you can write every email in German and in English.

If the customer has set English as the language in his account, all emails from you to him are automatically sent out in English.

Setting up event emails

  • Edit your course.
  • Go to the "Contents".
  • Go to the page for which you want to provide the email.
  • In the top right, click on "Event Emails".
  • Set the switcher at the top right to the right to activate the mails.
  • Then call up the respective event, e.g. drip-in.

  • Store the subject and content in German and English.
  • Define the delivery time depending on the drip-in of the page.
  • Save the change.

Example: Event "Drip-In"

Provide when the email should be sent.

Important: The time refers to the drip-in of the page. You can see this in the "Contents" tab.

For courses after payment, the time is either (by default) the time when the course was delivered to the customer (usually the payment date) or a time you have set.

  • simultaneously
  • before or
  • after

and, if necessary, provide a time in days and hours.

At the same time, the email goes out immediately after the customer has access to the page.

Content of the event emails

Use placeholders

You can use placeholders for the content of the email, for example for the name or the product. However, this is not possible with the subject.

%{first_name} -> first name
%{last_name} -> last name

Provide a link for the lesson

Provide the link to the lesson directly in the email. So your customer can go straight to the lesson without looking for the lesson in the menu.
