Viewing the course page preview

If you want to look at the content of your course / membership from the customer's point of view, you have two options:

  • via the preview function for the course page
  • via a test purchase of your course

1. Preview function for your course

With the preview you can see what your online course / course page will look like from the customers' perspective once they reach the page drip-in.

However, you cannot use it to test any functions that require the customer to take action, such as the

  • Quiz
  • Award
  • Course emails
  • Video view tracking
  • do not test the quiz or the award.

Preview course content

  • View your course in edit mode
  • View a page in your course
  • Click on the preview symbol in the top right

The selected page will then be opened in a new browser tab. If you have created a course "from date," the content of the "Content" tab is displayed here.
    The URL contains course-preview.

Refresh page

If you are working on your course at the same time and want to see the preview from time to time, you can leave the preview page open and refresh it in the other browser tab after editing to see the current content.

Wichtig_.png Important!

Do not use this link in your drip-in emails or give it to customers, as it can only be accessed from your seller account.

The preview only shows you the pages / menu items in the menu on the left that you have already published (eye is no longer crossed out).

In the example below, we didn't publish the "Course Overview" page from the example above, so it doesn't appear in the menu.

If you clicked on "Preview" on this page, you will still see the content of the page.

2. Test purchase for your own product

Buy the product/course as a test free of charge yourself, preferably with the email address that is also assigned to your seller account. Then you can see the course from the customer's point of view.

Content preview FAQ

I only see the header and a blank "Course overview" page

I only see a header and a blank page that says "Course overview" in the top left, but the course page is missing.

-> Then you use an online course theme for this course in which the course overview is activated and

  • your course either doesn't have a menu or
  • you have not activated the overview in the menu

After activation in the menu, the preview then looks like this:

You can find more about the course overview in this article:

-> Designing the course overview page

I don't want to use a course overview. I want the customer to come directly to the course

Then deactivate the course overview page in the online course theme.

You can find out which theme you have saved in the course in the "Content" tab by clicking on the "Choose a theme" button.

I don't see certain menus or pages in the preview on the left in the navigation

Then you didn't publish the menus or pages. Go to your course and click on the eye on the top right so it's green and bring up the preview again.
