Using the quiz in the online course

  • Updated

You can create a quiz for your course pages, as long as those pages don't have a "Static Page" setting.

Start of the quiz by the participant

The quiz is then started when the participant clicks on the Done button.

You can also rename this Done button, e.g. to "Start quiz."
During the quiz, the content of the page is not visible until the quiz has been completed.

Appearance of the quiz

In the quiz, the participant is shown all questions one after the other on one page. At the bottom of the page, the quiz can then be sent.

The questions and answers

You can provide as many questions as you like and create a quiz with

  • free text fields in which your own answer is formulated, which you then check and evaluate whether it was correct or not
  • predetermined answers in which you mark one or more as correct. You can then have these evaluated automatically by the system or evaluate them manually.

More settings for the quiz

You can set whether the quiz can be repeated if it has not been passed and whether all subsequent pages in the course are blocked until the quiz has been successfully passed.

Via the item "Award" you can define that after passing the quiz another product will be delivered free of charge, such as a certificate filled in with the customer's data or an eBook or another online course.

This allows you different use cases.

View quiz answers

You will find the quiz answers at the top right of the messages section and will also receive an email when new manually answered quiz answers arrive.

-> View and rate participants' quiz answers

Examples of use cases with the quiz feature

Deepen learning through quiz questions per page

For each / important lesson, create questions about the content of the lesson so that your participant can deepen his/her knowledge.

Intermediate or final examination

In between, create an intermediate or final exam with extensive questions about the course content.

Certificate of attendance

  • Create a certificate type product as a "certificate of attendance." This can be delivered via the function Award either directly after clicking on the Done button or you rename the completed button of the last lesson to "Request confirmation of participation."
  • Then you create a quiz and explain above that you can request the confirmation of participation and how it will be delivered. Then you create the question "Would you like to request your confirmation of participation now" and answer "Yes" / "No" and set the automatic evaluation
  • Then set in the tab Award that the certificate product will be delivered after passing the quiz. -> Deliver product as an award

Your participant will then receive the confirmation of participation by email delivered to the account after requesting the confirmation of participation.
