  • Updated

You have free reign in terms of pricing. With the pricing plans, we give you full freedom to offer different pricing plans for a product.

You can change your pricing plans:

  • in advance under "Templates" and "Create pricing plans" and then select one for the products or
  • create one directly during product creation.

You can:

  • offer your product free of charge or
  • provide one or more pricing plans for one-time, subscription or installment payments.

With subscription or installment payments, you can specify the price for the first and subsequent installments and you have various intervals to choose from, such as weekly, monthly or yearly, allowing you to set the price according to your wishes.

Overview of this article

What pricing plans are there?

  • One-time payment

The customer pays a price for your product once.

  • Subscription

With a subscription, the customer pays regularly until payment is canceled. If you have activated automated invoicing, the customer will receive a separate invoice for each payment.

  • Installment payments

With installment payments, the customer is obligated to pay all installments. They receive just one invoice, which is supplemented with the amount paid on the second page each time a payment is made.

  • Limited subscription

With the limited subscription, the subscription payments end no later than the date you set. However, the customer can cancel the subscription independently at any time in the account.

Quick guide: Creating prices / pricing plans

In your product, go to the step where you can provide the product price, for example "Checkout page", "Tickets" or "Upsells".

Your product will then be free of charge and the form for free-of-charge products will appear on the checkout page.

With free-of-charge products, you are not charged any fees when the products are bought, not even the 25 cents or 50 cents (in the reseller model) per transfer.

Providing a product price

  • Go to "Payment options".
  • Click on "Paid" at the top right.
  • Then, either select an existing pricing plan from the previously created templates (Select plan) or create a new pricing plan (New plan).

Once you have entered the information, you will see a preview of how the price will be displayed on the checkout page.

  • Click on "Save plan".

You can add as many pricing plans as you like and select different settings for each plan.

Then save / update the page at the bottom right or click on "Next" in the case of a new product.

Setting options

With all pricing plans, you can:

With subscription and installment payments (fixed-term subscription and payment in installments) you can also:

  • Provide custom intervals.
  • Define a custom charging day in the month so that the first payment is made not on the day of purchase but on the next 1st / 7th / 14th / 21st / 28th of the month, and all subsequent payments will also be made on this day of the month.

    Important:
Please note the information on product access and starting the course for online courses that are on our platform.
This option is not yet available with the eTicket.

Application examples

Product purchase in installments

You are organizing an event for 120 euro and want to enable payment in 6 installments. Since the amount is not received as a lump sum, you apply a small surcharge for payment in installments.

Configuration:

  • "One-time payment" 120 euro.
  • "Recurring payments" as an "Installment payment" with 6 installments of 25 euro each.

Membership with lifetime access

You offer a membership with lifetime access as a subscription.

When making a purchase, customers can choose between:

a) 30 euro monthly or

b) 100 euro quarterly

Configuration:

  • a) Subscription payment,
interval of 1st payment = monthly, 30 euro
Interval of subsequent payments = monthly, 30 euro

  • b) Subscription payment,
interval of 1st payment = quarterly, 100 euro
Interval of subsequent payments = quarterly, 100 euro

Online course, 6-month duration, 1st installment lower

You offer an online course with a duration of 6 months.

The 1st installment should be 1 euro to motivate customers to take a look at the course. The subsequent installments after a week-long test period should be 20 euro. The subscription can be canceled at any time.

Configuration:

  • "Recurring payments" as a "Limited subscription"
  • Interval of 1st payment  = weekly, 1 euro
  • Interval of subsequent payments = monthly, 20 euro

Online course, 3 months free of charge, then monthly installments

You offer an online course for which the subscription should be free of charge for the first 3 months. After that, the subscription costs 49 euro per month.

This can be achieved with a coupon code that is offset against the 1st installment.

Configuring the pricing plan:

  • "Subscription payment".
  • Interval of 1st payment = quarterly, price X - The price you provide here is irrelevant, since you must use the coupon code to make 3 months free of charge. In the pricing plan, the price for the 1st installment must be at least 0.50 euro.
  • Interval of the subsequent payments = monthly, 49 euro.

Creating the coupon code:

  • Create a coupon code that sets the 1st installment to 0 euro.
Here, you provide either the price of the 1st installment or 100% as the value.

    Important:
Uncheck "Apply to each rate of a subscription or installment payment" so that the coupon code is only applied to the 1st installment.

Send your customers the coupon code or the URL to the checkout page of your product with the coupon code.

Please test your URL before using it.
