Product configuration & product approval
If your place of residence or company headquarters is located in Europe or Switzerland, you can choose whether you sell in your own name (the default option after registering as a seller) or whether all sales are made via our reselling partner.
If your place of residence or company headquarters is outside Europe, you can only sell via the reseller model.

The Seller Model
When you register your seller account, it is set up to use the seller model.
Communication with Customers
- Your elopage shop is in your name and you have your own terms and conditions, your own legal notice, and you upload your own privacy policy.
- Correspondence with your customers takes place in your name.
- Revocations and cancellations are being handled by you.
- You are the point of contact for support questions from your customers.
Incoming Payments
- You need your own PayPal business account to connect to PayPal.
- You receive all payments made via instant payment, prepayment and credit card in your integrated payment account. In order for the payment methods to be activated, the integrated payment account must be authenticated by our banking partner. For this purpose, you must upload the relevant documents relating to you or your company in the "Settings" and "Payment Methods" area.
- At any time, you can arrange for earnings that you received more than 7 days ago to be cashed out. The cashout is sent to the checking account you have provided. This account must be in the name of the person or company named in the legal notice.
Invoices, Accounting & Taxes
- For each payment, you will receive a separate invoice issued on your behalf (if activated) for your accounting or tax purposes.
- For the costs incurred through the use of elopage, you will always receive an invoice on the 1st day of each month for the costs incurred the previous month.
- For taxes that are due for other European countries, you will receive a corresponding overview that can be used to report VAT within the framework of the >>OSS procedure.
- The tax calculation is based on your products and tax configuration. As a small business owner, this model is ideal for you, since no taxes are charged for sales for which the location is in your country and this can be indicated by the individual tax configuration.

The Reseller Model
In the reseller model, you remain responsible for correctly configuring your account, the products, the tax configuration, etc. From the time of purchase, our licensed reselling partner takes over the sale and the transaction. Therefore, during purchasing, the reselling partner's terms and conditions and legal notice apply.
If special terms apply to a product, you can add these to the product.
Communication with Customers
- Your elopage shop is in your name, the reseller is specified in the legal notice, terms and conditions and privacy policy.
- Correspondence with your customers takes place in your name.
- Revocations and cancellations take place directly through you. If the reseller receives a revocation, we will forward it to you.
- You are the point of contact for support questions from your customers.
Product Configuration & Product Approval
- You remain responsible for configuring the products. The reseller only takes over responsibility for processing payments and cashing out your earnings.
Product Approval
- Before being sold by the reseller, your products are reviewed for legality, authenticity and professionalism.
- The review process can take up to 3 working days to complete. Please take this into account in your planning and request product approval in good time.
- You remain responsible for the content of your products and for protecting copyrights.

Important: If you do not provide all your authentication documents, the request for product approval will be denied. In this case, please submit all missing documents via the >>requests form and apply for approval again.
Incoming Payments
- All payments are received by the reseller. You do not need your own PayPal account.
- The invoices are payable to the reseller.
- Payment by SEPA direct debit is also possible when using this model. The purchase confirmation email is delivered once the direct debit has been paid (approx. 5 days after purchase).
Invoices, Accounting & Taxes
- All invoices are issued on behalf of the reseller.
- Tax particularities specific to you or the country of your company headquarters (e.g. tax exemption for you, reduced tax rate for a product in your country) are not taken into account. The only tax particularity that can be taken into account is a reduced tax rate, different tax rate that applies to the product under German law (e.g. a physical book or training that is not deemed an electronic service). Please inform us before the launch about the tax rates to be applied so that we can adjust this.
- You will receive a cashout of your earnings to your checking account once or twice a month.
Cashouts
- In the reseller model, your revenue is automatically cashed out once or twice a month.
- Before the first cashout and for the following cashouts, the reseller reserves the right to a safety buffer of 15 to 30 days in order to make a reliable assessment of your payment flows.
- If your revenue, minus cancellations and chargebacks, is stable, your cashout interval can be shortened to 2 months accordingly.
- Cashouts will be made within 3 working days following the 1st and/or 15th of the month.

Selling in the Reseller Model

To use the reseller model, you must agree to the associated terms and conditions. You can do this directly after applying under "Settings" and "Payment Methods". Once you have submitted your application, a pop up will open with a link to the terms and conditions. We also need some >>authentication documents from you in order to be able to approve your products for sale. Information on activating the reseller model can be found in >>Contract Models.
