The manage page - possible uses
The manage page is the page on which a customer's payment method for a purchased product can be changed. You can share the link to the manage page with your customer so that they can make changes and payments. There is a detailed help article on the subject of >>changing payment method and paying amounts.
In the shop theme, you can specify custom settings for the header and footer for the manage page in order to provide your customers with special information and contact options relating to payment transactions.
You can access the manage page via the overview of the orders in your account. In the line for the customer concerned, click on the "three dots" on the far right and then on "Manage".
The following screenshot shows a manage page that has been created in the default shop theme. If you use a shop theme that you have created yourself, you can customize the header and footer of this page.
Why should you customize the header and footer of the manage page?
The advantage of customizing the manage page is that you can provide links and information here that would be distracting in other parts of your shop theme.
Example
You work with a virtual assistant who takes care of payment processes and management tasks. A customer has bought an online course and would like to pay the agreed installments early or switch from prepayment to SEPA (direct debit). They can do this via the manage page.
So that they can clarify in-depth questions with the right contact person, you add a "Contact payment support" or "I have a question about my payments" menu item and link it to your virtual assistant. This enables your customer to get in touch with the right contact person quickly.
The link from the example is very useful on the manage page, as it reduces the amount of work you have to do. However, it would be disadvantageous to have the "Contact payment support" menu item on the other shop pages in the buying process. There it would most likely distract the customer and cause confusion. Such support is only required by those who have already paid.
How to get started
First go to the "overview" of your shop themes and select the theme that you use to sell your products. You should already have marked this with the "star" on the far left. Then, click on the "three dots" on the far right and then on the "pencil."
Next, you are taken to the editing view of the shop theme. In the lower area you will find "Advanced settings."
To edit the header of the manage page, slide the switch next to “Manage page theme” to the right (to green).
The header
Hiding the header
Once you have moved the slider next to “Manage page theme” to the right (to green), you will be taken to the editing view of the manage page theme where you can specify settings for the header and footer.
If you do not want to use the header on the manage page (recommended), check the "box" on the far right next to "Hide".
Configuring the header
By clicking on the "pencil" on the far right, you can create and adapt a custom header for the manage page.
Next, you are taken to the editing view for the header of the manage page of your shop theme. Here you can specify a wide range of settings relating to colors and font properties for the header and create a custom menu.
You can create menu items for the header of the manage page using the input mask in the middle area:
- Enter the name of the menu item in the left field (1).
- In the right field, enter the URL to which your customer should be redirected when they click on the menu item (1).
- Then, confirm your changes by clicking on the “Save” button to the right of the input mask (2).
- If you do not make any further changes or adaptations afterwards, please remember to finish by clicking on the "Save" button in the bottom right corner.
In the lower area of the editing view for the header, you can set up links to your homepage and to social media accounts. These links are then automatically inserted in the header as icons. In the example, you can see inserted links in the footer (see below) instead.
Make sure that you always exit the editing view for the header by clicking on the "Save" button so that all entries and changes are applied.
Then, you return to the editing view for the manage page theme and see a preview of your custom header.

Important for sellers in the reseller model
If you sell in the reseller model, you must insert the legal notice, terms and conditions and data security policy of the reseller partner on the manage page (ideally in the footer). So, make sure that you also set up information about your own support in a way that is easy to spot.
Because even in the reseller model, you make decisions about payment methods and payment processes.
