The 9 company phases are defined as follows:

If you're just getting started, you'll start in the seed phase. Once you pass the revenue threshold of this phase of the company, you will reach the next level and benefit from even lower transfer & service fees.

All users who registered with elopage as sellers before the implementation of the current price matrix on 01.06.2020 were automatically classified as the next higher phase.

Company phases & transfer amount

The company phase in relation to the net transfer amount results in flexible transfer & service charge rates.

The Seller Model (standard)

The following matrix shows the transfer & service fees when selling in EUR in your own name. The fixed costs per transfer here are EUR 0.25. For transfers in other currencies such as CHF or USD with >>elopage PLUS, the percentage fee increases by 2%.

Example

You are in the "Seed" phase and the transfer amount is EUR 10,000, so fees of 2.5% will be charged on this transfer plus EUR 0.25 fixed.
However, if the transfer amount in this phase is CHF 10,000, fees of 4.5 % plus EUR 0.25 will be charged on this transfer.

Selling in the Reseller Model

The following matrix shows the transfer & service fees when selling in EUR in the reseller model. The fixed costs per transfer here are EUR 0.50. For transfers in other currencies such as CHF or USD, the percentage fee increases by 2%.

You are in the "Seed" phase and the transfer amount is EUR 10,000, so fees of 4.5% will be charged on this transfer plus EUR 0.50 fixed.
However, if the transfer amount in this phase is CHF 10,000, fees of 6.5 % plus EUR 0.50 will be charged on this transfer.

Important information

  • Transfer & service fees always refer to gross prices.
  • The elopage transfer & service fees can be found in the >>Transfer details on your monthly >>invoice from elopage.
  • Invoices for purchased credit can be found in your payer account. This could become important if you are looking for the receipts for your accounting.
  • For regular payments such as subscriptions, the fees are not levied on the total invoice amount, but on the individual installments.
  • If you sell in your own name and use an external payment provider such as PayPal or Stripe, they charge provider-specific fees (regardless of the elopage transfer & service fees).
  • When selling in the reseller model, these external fees are included in the fees listed here.
  • Costs for other currencies such as USD are not included. There are additional costs here.
  • SEPA return debit fees & credit card chargebacks are always borne by the provider.

  • If you cancel a payment, the maximum cancellation fee is 2.9%.

FAQ

Q: What is my classification based on?

A: Your gross sales over the last 365 days decide which level you are at. If you were already registered before June 1st, 2020, you have already been promoted to the next higher company phase.

Q: What happens if I generate less sales the following year?

A: As long as your sales are not permanently lower than the limit set for your company phase (i.e. longer than 6 months), you will not be downgraded.

Q: How can you get promoted?

A: If you are already generating higher sales and now want to switch to elopage, you can contact our account management. We will get in touch with you and talk to you about the desired classification.

Q: What happens to my sales volume if there are cancellations?

A: As long as your cancellation rate does not exceed 20%, nothing changes in your classification or volume calculation.

Q: Are cancellation amounts included in the sales volume?

A: The cancellation amounts do not count as volume. Only turnover from sales is counted.

Q: What is the maximum fee per cancellation?

A: At least as high as your transfer fee in the scale, but no more than 2.9% + EUR 0.25.

Q: Are there any restrictions on payment methods depending on the transfer amount?

A: For high-priced products of EUR 10,000 or more, we recommend using bank transfer. However, there is no general restriction.

Q: I offer subscription or installment payments. How is sales taken into account?

A: The actual receipt of money is counted as the volume and not the booked or invoiced sales.

Q: What fee do I pay for subscription and installment payments?

A: The fee depends on the amount of the transfer per installment or charge.

Q: Why were all existing customers upgraded as of June 1st, 2020?

A: As a thank you for the cooperation so far, we have upgraded all customers to the next higher corporate phase with lower transfer fees that are more profitable for them

Example:

Have you sold a total of EUR 200.000 in the last 365 days? Then you would actually be in the "Later Stage" phase. We have placed you in the "Growth" phase, so that the fees for this phase apply to you.
