Images
Q: | What do I have to consider when choosing my product image? |
A: | If your product cover contains text, leave enough space (approx. 200 pixels) between the text and the edge of the image so that all image elements are displayed correctly in the dynamic view. |

A: | To upload your image files, use the >>image block of the pagebuilder. Please do not insert your images in the text block. |
Q: | Why are the images displayed too large? |

Downloads
Q: | How do I save download files? |
A: | Once you have clicked on the download symbol next to the file, select the "Share" option in the pop-up. With some system versions of iOS and Android, the file can then be saved directly on the smartphone. If this option is not available to you, you can attach the file to an email, for example, and download it from there. |
iOS & App Store
Q: | What do I have to consider if I want to swap the app icon or the screenshots for the app preview in the App Store? |
A: |
Changes to the icon and screenshots for the app preview in the App Store require an update by Apple. Depending on how long ago Apple last carried out an update, it may be a while before your changes are applied. Please contact your contact person at elopage in advance. |
Q: | When I try to conclude the contract for paid apps with Apple, my details are not accepted and an error message appears. What can I do? |
A: | This is a technical bug on the part of Apple. Ignore the error message and click on "Add" until the information you have entered is accepted (4 times in total). |
Q: | Why do my customers receive an error message when they try to log in to their online course? |
A: |
Please check whether you have created an IAP (in-app purchase) for the relevant online course product in App Store Connect. If not, please do so. Also, make sure that your customers have completed the IAP for the product*. *If your customers are logged in to your app and click on the online course, they will be asked to pay € 1.09. Only once they have confirmed the payment will your customers gain access to the course. Otherwise they will receive an error message. |
Q: | What do I have to consider with eTickets? |
A: | It is important that you create an IAP in App Store Connect for every ticket of the product type eTickets / vouchers. |
Q: | Do I have to create an IAP for each product in a membership? |
A: | No! Please create the IAP only once for the membership product in App Store Connect. |
Q: | What do I have to consider if I offer online courses and memberships as a subscription? |
A: |
Please make sure that when creating the IAP in App Store Connect, you specify that it is a "non-consumable item". |
Q: | Can I use buttons that link to external pages? |
A: |
No, this is not possible with iOS. Buttons with links to external sites are not displayed in the app. Simple links can be used, but Apple's guidelines on this are not clear, so it is advisable to check the functionality of simple links with iOS. |
Q: | Can I use a CTA button? |
A: |
No, CTA buttons are not displayed on iOS devices. |
Q: | What happens if my customers uninstall the app? |
A: | If the app is uninstalled and then reinstalled using the same Apple ID, the user does not need to pay for the IAP again. App data can be transferred in the app settings by clicking on "Restore purchases" (if the app user is signed in with the same Apple ID). |
Q: | What should you watch out for with the app icon? |
A: | Don't choose an app icon with a transparent background as iOS doesn't support it. A white background is automatically inserted here on iOS devices instead. |

A: | Yes, simply use the >>button block of the pagebuilder in the "Content" tab of your online course product and select "Course page link" and then click on "Select course page". Please do not insert any links in the text block! |
Q: | Can I display icons in the app? |

Yes, if they are in Unicode. Emojis, Froala and Font Awesome are not supported. |
Q: | Can I use iFrames? |
A: | Please refrain from using iFrames in the app because these can severely impair functionality or even cause the app to crash. |
Push notifications
Q: | Which push notifications does the app send? |
A: | System notifications contain information about quizzes and comments in online courses. You can also send custom push notifications. We explain how this works in >>Creating & sending push notifications |
Text
Q: | What font is the text in the app? |
A: | Text in the app is displayed in the "Gotham Pro" font. |
Q: | Why is my theme title not displayed in full? |
A: | Due to the format, titles in the >>text block or >>banner block may occupy no more than 3 lines. Otherwise they will not be displayed in full. |
Q: | Why is my text displayed on a different background color? |
A: |
If you copy the text from an external site and paste it into the text editor, the background color will also be adopted. This is because the background color is included in the HTML code. The app reads colors in the spectrum #ffffff, not #fff. For possible solutions, see the video:

Spacing can be displayed differently in the app because the text passages are coded differently. The code is read differently in the app. |
