Are you creating online courses and want to know how to optimally manage access? We answer questions about this in this FAQ.
Overview
Q: How do you set it up so that only customers have access to my course who also pay monthly? After termination, access should end automatically.
A: If a customer cancels, the customer retains access until the end of the payment period, i.e. one day before the next installment is due.
Q: How can I prevent customers who do not pay their installments from still having access to my product?
A: Access will be terminated whenever an installment is overdue and will be granted again when the installment is paid. Our system does this automatically.
Q: I am currently creating an online course and would like to offer it as a monthly subscription. Customers should only have access if they have paid the monthly fee, otherwise not. Do I then set one month for the access duration?
A: It is best to set the course to "lifelong" (or for as many months as you think your course will remain or you provide new content) - definitely not for one month, because then access will be blocked automatically after one month, even if your customer continues to pay because the are two independent settings.
With a subscription, it works like this: if a customer does not pay by the next due date, access will be blocked. If the payment is made later, access will be opened again, provided the access period has not yet expired.
Q: If a customer cancels the subscription and no longer pays, is access blocked for the subscription, even if I set it to "lifetime"
A: Yes, access will be terminated whenever an installment is overdue and will be granted again when the installment is paid. Lifelong access is only available if the installments have been paid by the respective due date and of course also if a one-off payment has been made.
If needed, you can also >>terminate access manually.
