Please note
If your company is a GbR (partnership under civil law), we need the proof of identity of the partner who is managing the elopage seller account.
European Union
- Valid identity card, passport or driving license
- Front and back of ID card or driving license in a file (PDF, JPEG or PNG)
- Passport main page (PDF, JPEG or PNG)
- Photo or scan in color

Proof of registration for partnerships, corporations and mixed companies (except partnerships under civil law [GbR])
Commercial register extract
- Not older than 3 months
- Photo or scan in a file (PDF, JPEG or PNG)
Proof of registration for a partnership under civil law
With business registration
- Business registration of all partners and business registration of the GbR in one PDF file
- Photo or scan in a file (PDF, JPEG or PNG)
Without business registration
If the GbR is not registered as a trade, we need one of the following pieces of evidence as a photo or scan in a file (PDF, JPEG or PNG):
- Business registration of all partners
- Tax number for the declaration of earnings from self-employment or VAT identification number (official letter from the competent tax office) of all partners
- Authorization to act of all partners
- Commercial register extract of all partners

- Dated and signed
- Photo or scan in a file (PDF, JPEG or PNG)

Please note
Please use the >>shareholder declaration for the following information. You can view the form later too when you upload your proof.
- Information regarding the company to be audited
- All beneficial owners holding 25% or more of the company. If there are no other shareholders, please indicate the legal representative and enter the number "4" under "Type of control."
Step-by-step guide
Send activation request
- In the main menu of your seller account, go to "Settings" and "Payment Methods."
- Click on "Okay, let's start!"
Select legal form
- Under "Company" click "Select".
Company headquarters information
- Fill out all fields.
- Under "Region," specify the federal state where the company headquarters are located.
- Under "Place of registration", enter the seat of the competent district court and your commercial register number on the right.
Please note
If your company is a GbR, specify the following for "commercial register number:" DE000000000. If it is a GbR with a business registration, enter the registered office of the competent trade office under "Place of registration." For a GbR without a business registration, specify the head office of the competent finance office as the location.
- Mark the first checkbox if your company is subject to VAT in Germany (this is usually the case for companies).
- Mark the second checkbox to agree to the applicable terms and conditions for payment services.
- Click "Next."

- Fill in all fields and click "Next."

Upload documents
Please note
Please only upload one file and provide all evidence if possible. If you click on "Catch up later," you will receive an email from the responsible department asking you to submit it as soon as possible. We cannot process your activation request until we have all the evidence.
- Upload under >>Proof of identity.
- Upload your commercial register excerpt under "Proof of registration."
- If you are managing a GbR, upload the proof of >>GbR with business registration or >>GbR without business registration under "Proof of registration."
- Next, upload the articles of incorporation.
- Under >>List of partners, click on "Please use this form" to the right.
- Completely fill out the >>shareholder declaration and download the PDF file.
- Upload the file for "List of partners."
- Click "Next."
Indicate shareholders owning 25% or more
- Select how many shareholders have 25% or more share in your company.
- Click "Next."
- If there are no shareholders with 25% or more share, click on "Skip."
- Specify the information of all shareholders.
- Check the box to apply the information of the authorized representative.
- Click on "Add."
- Check your information for correctness and completeness and then click on "Next."

Click on the pencil icon to edit the respective information if necessary.
Send activation request for review
- Click "Submit for review."
