The products stored in the category are not displayed on the store page
This may be due to two reasons:
- The product does not have a sales release-> Why is my product not released for sale?
- The product is marked as private -> Do not show products in the store and search engines ("private")
To fix,
- go to the view Products / All products and search for the products you have deposited in the category
- check and fix both points.
A category is not displayed on the store page
This can have two reasons
- You have set the checkmark "Hide" for the category itself
- You have activated the "Selected categories" feature in the store or membership theme and have not stored the missing category there.
Where can I edit categories once created or create new ones?
- This goes under Products / Product categories.
How can I change the order of the categories or hide a category?
- Call up the category and then change the position to change the order. In the overview of the categories, first check which order you have already specified, as an adjustment may be necessary for multiple categories.
Important: You can only set one order for your entire account. If you have several store pages with different categories, a change will also affect the other store pages.
I want to hide the category "All products"
This is only possible if your package includes App Customization.
- Call up the corresponding store or membership theme
- edit the "Main" or "Main Area" item
- go to the "Products" block where you have activated the categories and
- uncheck "Show all products."
This tab is already hidden.
How can I provide a custom title and meta description for SEO?
- Call up the category in edit mode
- At the very bottom you can provide the meta title and meta description for the search engines.
How can I change the display of categories to a drop-down menu?
This is only possible if your package includes App Customization.
- Call up the corresponding store or membership theme
- edit the "Main" or "Main Area" item
- go to the "Products" block where you have activated the categories and
- change "Category View" to "Dropdown View."
How can I display only certain categories?
This is only possible if your package includes App Customization.
- Call up the corresponding store or membership theme
- edit the "Main" or "Main Area" item
- go to the "Products" block where you have activated the categories and
- activate the "Selected categories" switcher and select the previously created categories.
Are products set to private also displayed in the membership theme?
Yes, if you have set the "Products" block in the membership theme to contain products that are set to "private," these will be displayed to your customers in the membership theme, as the "private" setting only applies to the store page.
If a customer has received products (purchased via a link or as an award, for example) that are not displayed on the store page because of the "private" setting, these purchased products are still displayed in the "Products" block in the membership theme.
For example, you can still display in the membership theme the certificates that were purchased during a course and should not be purchasable individually.
